Spirit of Ubuntu Big Walk – October 2019

Sports Day 2019
This year's Sports Day has only proven that our children are definitely all-rounders. From our Preschool up until our Primary, we ended our day with our Primary school races to which the Impala team took the trophy. Congratulations to each and everyone that participated and we thank the parents for your continuous support. A special thank you to our coaches for planning a wonderful day for us.
Participating in the Global Climate Strike
On the 20th of September, 2019, all over the world the #globalclimatestrike took place in light of spreading awareness and standing for change to preserve the world we live in. Our kids are taught to be citizens of the world and we participated in the movement. 🌳☀️🌊
Soccer Wins Annual Jabulani Tournament
This past weekend our boys and girls participated in the 16th Annual ‘Jabulani’ Netball and Soccer Tournament alongside nine other schools. We are beyond excited to announce that our soccer teams (Under 11 and 13) won the entire tournament showing immense domination with a score of 3-0 in the final! 🏆 Our Netball girls also played incredibly well and made it to the semi-finals. Congratulations to all our children.

Last week Friday, our children, staff and parents took part in a 'Fun Walk' hosted by our school's Spirit of Ubuntu team. The walk was held to commemorate and remember the June 16th Soweto youth uprising and the impact that this event has had on not only our immediate communities but on South Africa as a whole.
